The company states it operates an ISO22000/GMP-certified central factory and was the first Taiwanese bakery with a front-shop-back-factory scale to pass ISO22000.

Florida Bakery was founded in 1949 (Republic of China year 38), according to its official brand story. Its predecessor was described as a leading department store in the Shanghai French Concession; after the government relocated to Taiwan, it engaged a French chef and a senior Beijing pastry chef to jointly establish Florida Bakery. In its early years it was a main supplier to the U.S. Military Assistance Advisory Group, and due to the quality of its French bread and mastery of Chinese pastry techniques, it became a major supplier to Yuanshan Air Kitchen and China Airlines in-flight meals. It successively introduced baking products from various countries, including German rye series, American bagel series, Middle Eastern bread series, and Italian bread series, earning the nickname 'United Nations of Bread.' The company invested nearly ten million to purchase equipment for producing Mexican tortilla series and established an ISO22000/GMP-certified central factory. It also states it was the first Taiwanese bakery with a front-shop-back-factory scale to pass ISO22000.
