Fondazione Toscana Gabriele Monasterio

Fondazione Toscana Gabriele Monasterio is a Research Centre of the Regional Health Service and a Specialised Public Entity under Tuscan Regional Law no. 85/2009. It was established by the National Research Council (CNR) and the Region of Tuscany to manage and develop the specialist healthcare and public-health medical research activities carried out by the CNR Institute of Clinical Physiology. Its activities are based at two sites: the Ospedale San Cataldo-CNR in Pisa and the Ospedale del Cuore in Massa. The Foundation is a high-specialty centre for the treatment of cardiovascular and pulmonary diseases, including rare conditions such as congenital heart disease, hereditary dyslipidaemias, haemochromatosis, pulmonary hypertension and cardiac amyloidosis.

Marco Torre (Direttore generale, February 2020 - February 2025).
