Formosa Taffeta Co., Ltd.

Formosa Taffeta Co., Ltd. (福懋興業股份有限公司) is a Taiwanese textile company registered on 19 April 1973 in Douliu City, Yunlin County, and renamed to its current name in January 1979. It produces long-fiber nylon and polyester fabrics, tire cord fabric, cotton yarn, synthetic fiber yarn, and related products, and has been listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange since December 1985. Its chairman is Wang Wen-yuan and its general manager is Li Min-chang.

Formosa Taffeta Co., Ltd. was registered on 19 April 1973 in the outskirts of Douliu City, Yunlin County, during a period when Taiwan's textile processing, manufacturing, and export trade were flourishing. It was established through cooperation and investment by Taiwan Chemical Fiber Co., Ltd. of the Formosa Plastics Group and some business figures, introducing modern equipment to produce woven, dyed, printed long-fiber nylon and polyester fabrics, under the name "Formosa Taffeta Co., Ltd." (福懋纖維股份有限公司). In January 1979 it was renamed "Formosa Taffeta Co., Ltd." (福懋興業股份有限公司). In December 1985 its shares were publicly listed in Taiwan, with total capital of NT$16,846,646,370. Over more than forty years it has adhered to the business philosophy of harmony, innovation, service, and dedication.
