Overview

Freudenthaler is a Tyrolean family business in the waste management sector. Its services cover the entire process from waste generation to possible recovery as a resource, including consulting, container provision with declaration, disposal, and tank services. It serves industrial customers, trade businesses, public institutions and municipalities, private customers, and other waste disposal companies. The company describes its goal as the maximum material recycling of waste, saving resources and returning recovered raw materials to the producing industry.

History

The history of the family business began with a future vision. In 1973 Karl Freudenthaler founded a wholesale business for heating oil tanks in Innsbruck. In addition to cleaning the tanks, from the mid-1980s he also took care of the collection and treatment of hazardous waste. With its new location in Inzing, the young company laid the foundation for the construction of forward-looking facilities for the treatment of hazardous waste. Thanks to visionary pilot facilities, the company was a step ahead of European environmental technology. In the early 1990s the company placed itself clearly at the technological forefront of the processing and disposal of hazardous waste, a pioneering role it maintained through constant new and further developments. In 1999 it commissioned a vacuum evaporator facility developed in-house, the first in all of Europe. In 2003 the most modern recycling facility in Europe for commercial waste, bulky waste and mixed construction site waste was commissioned. In 2011 a new company location was created about 50 meters from the company headquarters on Europastraße, offering expanded storage for non-hazardous waste, a wash bay, a filling station and garages for the modern truck fleet. After several storage halls were destroyed by a fire in spring 2018, new storage halls were opened in September of the same year.
