Fridge Freezer Direct

Fridge Freezer Direct, commonly branded as FFD, is a British online retailer and supplier of commercial refrigeration and catering equipment. According to its own company profile, it has served the hospitality, retail and foodservice industry since 2008, describing itself as "one of the UK's longest-established online suppliers of commercial refrigeration and catering equipment." Its customer base spans restaurants, cafés, pubs, hotels and food service businesses nationwide, and the company states it has advised, specified and supplied equipment to tens of thousands of businesses across mainland UK, into Europe and further afield. The company's product range is broad and covers the full commercial kitchen and cold-chain spectrum. Core refrigeration categories include commercial fridges and freezers, bottle coolers and bar fridges, display fridges, glass frosters, wine coolers, hotel mini bar fridges, and both modular and bespoke cold rooms and walk-in freezer rooms, the latter offered with remote or integral refrigeration systems plus site survey and installation services. Beyond refrigeration, FFD sells catering equipment such as spiral mixers, pasta making machines, milkshakers and other food preparation machinery. The catalogue is multi-brand, stocking names such as Polar, Fimar, Diamond, CombiSteel, Tefcold, Foster, Ecomatic, Mercatus, Gamko, Infrico, Lincat, Blizzard, Prodis, Osborne and others. FFD positions itself around three stated pillars: quality commercial equipment, value for money, and "A1 customer service." Its website emphasises honest, impartial expert advice and competitive pricing, and it publishes buyers' guides and FAQs for categories such as bar fridges and walk-in cold rooms. The company also operates a customer review programme, displaying an aggregate score of 4.70 out of 5 based on 1,872 reviews on its homepage. While the online operation dates to 2008, the company says its pedigree reaches back further, to the mid-1990s, when its founders were already advising and supplying the trade. The business is privately held and refers to itself as the FFD Group. Its managing director has spoken publicly about the company's journey, including a 2019 interview with the industry publication Catering Insight. FFD remains an active, UK-focused e-commerce supplier with some European and wider international reach.
