Overview

Fuji Bellows Co., Ltd. (富士精工株式会社) is a Japanese precision components manufacturer headquartered in Ayase, Kanagawa Prefecture. Founded in 1947 in Fuji City, Shizuoka Prefecture, the company began by manufacturing and selling metal bellows and has since grown into a diversified supplier of automotive parts, housing equipment components, aerospace and space equipment parts, and bellows-based applied products. Its core technologies revolve around the control of temperature, pressure and fluid, using bellows and wax thermo-pellet (thermostat) technologies as foundational platforms. The company's product portfolio includes thermostats, wax elements (thermo-pellets), thermo valves, pressure switches, thermo switches, constant flow valves, flow control valves, aerospace and space equipment, bellows and bellows-applied products, and various assembled components. These products serve a wide range of industries: automotive (thermostats and switches), housing equipment, aerospace and space, home appliances, heavy electrical equipment, nuclear power equipment, measuring instruments, and office equipment. Fuji Bellows positions itself as a technology-driven manufacturer that contributes to energy efficiency, clean engines, comfortable living spaces, and space development. Fuji Bellows operates four domestic sites in Japan: the headquarters and Ayase Plant in Ayase, Kanagawa; the Sagami Plant in Yamato, Kanagawa; the Tsukuba Plant in Kasumigaura, Ibaraki; and the Fuji Plant in Fuji, Shizuoka. It also has an overseas subsidiary, Fuji Seiko Vietnam Co., Ltd., established in 2011 in the Nomura Industrial Park in Hai Phong, Vietnam. The company employs approximately 260 people and has capital of 100 million yen. Its president is Jun Ando. The company is privately held and not listed on any stock exchange. Fuji Bellows has a long history of technology development and partnerships. In 1963 it established Fuji Thomson Co., Ltd. as a joint venture with Standard Thomson of the United States, and in 1969 it opened the Fuji Thomson Plant in Ayase to mass-produce wax-type thermostats. In 1999, three group companies—Fuji Seiko, Fuji Thomson, and Fuji Seiko (Fuji Seiki)—merged. The company celebrated its 70th anniversary in 2017. Today, Fuji Bellows continues to develop products with new ideas, focusing on clean energy (hydrogen society), natural energy, energy saving, and space development, while adhering to its management philosophy of customer-first management, technological innovation, and global contribution.
