Ace Alzheimer Center Barcelona

Ace Alzheimer Center Barcelona is an entity serving people with Alzheimer's disease or other dementias and their families, as well as caregivers. Since 1995 it has worked in the fields of diagnosis, treatment, research and training for Alzheimer's disease and other dementias, and also addresses societal awareness. It describes itself as a reference center in Catalonia for its Alzheimer's diagnosis model, which includes 5 visits with the person with cognitive impairment and their relatives for comprehensive assessment and a tailored intervention plan. It combines non-pharmacological treatments with innovative therapies such as therapeutic apheresis (AMBAR®) and non-invasive neuromodulation. In research, it has participated in more than 170 clinical trials and holds the largest Alzheimer's genetic collection in Europe and one of the largest in the world. It also provides training for health professionals, families, caregivers and society.

Ace Alzheimer Center Barcelona has worked since 1995 in the fields of diagnosis, treatment, research and training for Alzheimer's disease and other dementias. It has participated in more than 170 clinical trials and holds the largest Alzheimer's genetic collection in Europe and one of the largest in the world. Since 1998 it has organized, together with the Alzheimer Disease Research Center of the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, the Barcelona-Pittsburgh Conference, held every two years. It is a center affiliated with the UIC (Universitat Internacional de Catalunya).

A reference center in Catalonia for its Alzheimer's diagnosis model, and a nationally and internationally recognized research center with the largest Alzheimer's genetic sample bank in Europe.
