Fundació Ramon Noguera

Fundació Ramon Noguera is a Catalan non-profit institution founded in 1965 that works to guarantee quality of life for people with intellectual disabilities, contributing to their social and labour integration. It offers support for personal well-being and social participation, works to improve the situation of children with developmental difficulties or at risk of them, and supports their families. Originally founded as Associació Àngelus, it became a foundation and changed its name in 1995. In 2017 it was awarded the Creu de Sant Jordi. The organisation provides services across all stages of life, from childhood to old age, including early childhood care, occupational therapy, residences, day centres, and home autonomy support. It also creates and manages employment services and opportunities, running commercial establishments such as car and truck wash tunnels and a laundry service, staffed by workers with disabilities. Its activities are grouped under the Grup Fundació Ramon Noguera.

The Fundació Ramon Noguera was founded in 1965 under the name Associació Àngelus. Its mission from the outset was to guarantee quality of life for people with intellectual disabilities and to contribute to their social and labour integration. In 1995, the organisation transitioned from an association to a foundation and adopted its current name. Over the decades, it expanded its services to cover all stages of life, from early childhood care to residences and day centres for adults, as well as occupational therapy and home autonomy support. It also developed employment services and commercial establishments, such as car and truck wash tunnels and a laundry, staffed by workers with disabilities. In 2017, the foundation was awarded the Creu de Sant Jordi, a prestigious Catalan honour, in recognition of its social contribution.
