Fundamedios

Fundamedios is an Ecuadorian organization whose work focuses on strengthening and defending freedom of expression, press freedom and access to information, through the establishment of a methodology. Its website presents alerts, historical figures, semiannual and annual reports, emblematic cases, investigations, projects, milestones and a methodology section, along with a monitoring network for threats to press freedom.

Fundamedios states that over 15 years it has focused its work on strengthening and defending freedom of expression, press freedom and access to information through the establishment of a methodology, which it describes as making it a pioneer in Ecuador in evaluating the state of these freedoms. It also states that for 15 years its Network for Monitoring Threats to Press Freedom has developed and refined a monitoring system that allows the timely detection and reporting of aggressions against the press, media and journalists in the exercise of their right to freedom of expression, with correspondents at the national level and a human and technological team.
