Gabbanelli Accordions

Gabbanelli Accordions is an accordion brand that has become a pillar of Regional Mexican music. Its founder, Gianfranco "John" Gabbanelli, learned his craft in Italian workshops where the first mass-produced accordions were made, then traveled to the United States. Arriving in Houston in 1961, he encountered the emerging explosion of Regional Mexican music and designed a model specifically for that genre, redefining both the sound and the look of the instruments. He set up a small workshop in his own garage, where he realized his vision in avant-garde designs. The brand emphasizes artisanal work and attention to detail, with engineering from Italy and a sound shaped by a discerning ear.

The dream began in Italy. Founder Gianfranco "John" Gabbanelli knew he wanted to travel to the United States in pursuit of the American Dream, but what he did not know was that in doing so he would also revolutionize the music industry forever. From his arrival in Houston in 1961, John encountered the nascent explosion of Regional Mexican music, and in the land of opportunities he quickly found his own. Having learned directly in the Italian workshops where the first mass-produced accordions were made, he came to the United States and designed a model specifically for this musical genre. He not only redefined the sound but also the way the instruments look. In the garage of his own house, John set up his small workshop and realized his vision in avant-garde designs. Gabbanelli accordions have remained one of the pillars of Regional Mexican music, with idols who have made and continue to make history in the genre trusting their sound to these instruments.
