Gardener's Supply Company is a gardening retailer founded in 1983 by Will Raap as a catalog mail order company offering innovative gardening solutions. The company designs and develops its own products, manages test gardens, maintains a how-to library, and operates garden centers in Williston, VT, Burlington, VT, Lebanon, NH, Greenland, NH, and Hadley, MA. It established an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) in 1986.

In 1984, its first offices, test garden, and warehouse opened in Winooski, VT. In 1986, the company established an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) and moved to a new building on the site of an abandoned slaughterhouse in Burlington's Intervale.
