GDEX Berhad

GDEX is an express courier company providing domestic and international delivery. With over two decades of experience, it offers parcel delivery, warehousing, e-commerce solutions and freight forwarding, and is known for strong network coverage across Malaysia, including urban and remote areas. The company was established in 1997, and in 2020 changed its name to GDEX Berhad.

GDEX was established in 1997. In 2000, Mr Teong Teck Lean entered as the controlling stakeholder of GDEX. In 2003, it became the first local express delivery company to obtain ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System certification. It was listed on the ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia in 2005, and set up operations in Singapore in 2007. In 2008 it became the first local express carrier to deploy a conveyor system for shipment sorting, and in 2009 upgraded to ISO 9001:2008. Singapore Post entered as a substantial shareholder in 2011, and in 2012 GDEX obtained ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management System certification. In 2013 it transferred its listing to the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia. In 2016, Yamato Asia entered as the second largest shareholder; GDEX acquired a 30% stake in Web Bytes Sdn Bhd and a 40% equity in Indonesia's PT Satria Antaran Prima Tbk (SAP Express). GDEX Academy was established in 2018, and in 2019 it acquired a 50% stake in Vietnam's Noi Bai Express and Trading Joint Stock Company (NETCO). In 2020 it changed its name to GDEX Berhad and launched a new GDEX Philosophy. The GDEX 2.0 Roadmap launched in 2021; in 2022 it acquired a 51% stake in Sweetmag Solutions Sdn Bhd and a 60% stake in Anon Security Sdn Bhd, and the GDEX 2.0 Ecosystem was established. GDEX Auto Hub launched in 2023, and in 2024 GDEX launched its Purpose and Compass and diversified into IT services and solutions.
