Long-running mutual patent litigation with Hai Robotics; Geek+ once ordered to pay RMB 350,000 for infringement
Geek+ and fellow warehouse robotics unicorn Hai Robotics were involved in more than ten disputes over patent infringement, unfair competition and patent invalidation. In 2021, the Supreme People's Court upheld the first-instance ruling that Hai Robotics did not infringe Geek+'s 'shelf hit method' patent; in another case, Geek+ was ordered to stop infringement and pay RMB 350,000. In November 2023, under mediation by the Supreme People's Court Intellectual Property Court, the two sides reached a package settlement of 11 lawsuits. The case was settled and cited by the Supreme People's Court as a typical case of proactive judicial practice.
