GemVax & KAEL

GemVax & KAEL is a South Korean company founded in 1998 that provides clean air and environmental pollution control solutions, notably chemical air filters, to the semiconductor and display industries. It localized chemical filter production in South Korea and expanded exports to markets including Japan, China, Taiwan, the United States, Singapore, and Malaysia. The company was listed on KOSDAQ in 2005 and changed its name from KAEL to GemVax & KAEL in 2009.

GemVax & KAEL was founded in 1998 as KAEL Environmental Research Institute ((주)카엘환경연구소). In 1999 it changed its name to KAEL ((주)카엘) and began localizing chemical filters and gas scrubbers. It was listed on KOSDAQ in 2005. In 2009 it changed its name to GemVax & KAEL. The company expanded internationally, with first exports to Malaysia in 2006, Singapore in 2006, and the United States in 2007, followed by entries into China (2013), Taiwan (2014), and Japan (2011).
