China Xinxing Group Co., Ltd. (Genertec Xinxing) is a Chinese state-owned conglomerate and a wholly owned subsidiary of China General Technology (Group) Holding Co., Ltd. (Genertec). Its core business is engineering services and construction, carried out through two construction enterprises that share more than 70 years of history of building for the country and serving the military. Both construction arms hold China's top-grade (Special Class) general contracting qualification for housing construction and Grade A design qualifications, alongside first-grade general contracting qualifications in highway, municipal and mechanical & electrical engineering, and numerous first-grade specialized contracting qualifications covering decoration, steel structures, foundation works, mechanical & electrical installation, curtain walls, and waterproofing and insulation. The group also holds a foreign engineering contracting licence and national high-tech enterprise certification. Beyond construction, Xinxing operates in military supplies (quartermaster goods) export, property services, asset operation, and health-related businesses. It is described as an important supporting enterprise for Genertec's engineering services business. Its portfolio of landmark projects includes central and ministry office buildings along Chang'an Avenue in Beijing, venues for the Asian Games, Universiade and Olympic Games, the Beijing CBD Fortune Plaza, the Capital Airport cargo terminal, the China Southern Airlines base at Beijing Daxing Airport, the Benin national highway, the Kazakhstan national highway, and Brazil's Comandante Ferraz Antarctic research station. The roots of China Xinxing Group lie in military logistics and construction. Its Xinxing Import & Export company was founded in 1984 and was separately listed in the State Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation plan in 1986, when it received exclusive rights, approved by the State Council and the Central Military Commission, to export quartermaster goods and logistics equipment. In July 1989, with the approval of the State Council and the Central Military Commission, China Xinxing Group Co., Ltd. was established under the General Logistics Department of the People's Liberation Army. It focused on the production and sale of military logistics equipment and became the largest enterprise group of the PLA. In 1998 the group was decoupled from the military.
