GGPoker Faces Criticism Over Ambassador Signing
Public backlash
In December 2020, GGPoker drew criticism from poker players after hiring Dan Bilzerian as a brand ambassador. The criticism included objections related to Bilzerian's treatment of women. The event was reported by CardPlayer, which described the online poker site as signing the "King of Instagram" as its brand ambassador. The criticism came from members of the poker community rather than from any formal regulatory or legal action described in the source.

This guy’s audience is a bunch of toxic losers – literally the worst kind we could add to our community. Feels extra gross given how he treats women like literal props. Super disappointing GG, lot of us loved what you’d been doing.
The news of his signing was polarizing, to say the least. After numerous players called out the site for hiring someone with a questionable history with women, Bilzerian himself proved their point by calling one female pro a “hoe” (sic).
Real-time assistance enforcement
GGPoker announced permanent bans for 40 accounts, warnings for another 40 and confiscation of approximately $1.18 million from 13 accounts over alleged use of real-time assistance or related fair-play violations.
Moneytaker69 security vulnerability case
A player using the handle Moneytaker69 exploited a client-side vulnerability that exposed hand-equity information. GGPoker banned the account, confiscated approximately $29,800 and patched the vulnerability.
GGMillion$ Super High Roller disqualification
Francesco Garofalo was disqualified after winning the $25,000 GGMillion$ Super High Roller Championship for violating fair-play rules. More than $1 million in prize money was redistributed to other finalists.
Disputed account closure involving Tobias Duthweiler
Tobias Duthweiler alleged that GGPoker closed his account and confiscated about $180,000. The operator said he had previously been barred from a network skin for alleged bum-hunting and predatory behavior and that his return breached a permanent ban.
GTO Wizard-related account closures
After integrating security tools from GTO Wizard, GGPoker closed 31 accounts for alleged real-time assistance use. Integrity ambassador Fedor Holz said the affected players would also be excluded from future live WSOP events.
