Gitea is described on its official site as a private, fast, and reliable DevOps platform: a self-hosted DevOps platform that gives teams and developers high-efficiency, easy-to-run operations from planning to production. It is offered in two main forms: Gitea Cloud, a managed environment, and Gitea Enterprise, an enhanced instance deployed in the customer's own environment. Its capabilities include Git-based code hosting and code review, an integrated CI/CD system called Gitea Actions that is compatible with GitHub Actions, project management through issues, labels, and kanban boards, and support for more than 20 kinds of public or private package management.
