History
Giulio Perrone Editore is an independent publishing house with its seat in Rome, founded in 2005 by Giulio Perrone and Mariacarmela Leto. From its foundation, the editorial project has focused on careful research welcoming works of contemporary Italian and foreign narrative, travel literature and biographies. From its birth to today the publishing house has published some of the major Italian writers, from Ugo Riccarelli to Dacia Maraini, from Romana Petri to Tommaso Pincio, while continuing careful scouting work that saw the first works of authors who became established and well known to the general public, such as Paolo Di Paolo, Giorgio Nisini, Simona Lo Iacono, Ilaria Rossetti and Chiara Valerio. The same spirit led to the publication of internationally renowned authors such as Jan Carson and Aixa de la Cruz, as well as Brenda Navarro and Louise Chenneviere, all translated into Italian for the first time. In 2012 the Passaggi di Dogana series was created, which made the publishing house's editorial project a solid point of reference in the Italian publishing landscape, with volumes that host literary crossings and factual geography.
