GoDaddy discloses exposure of Managed WordPress customers’ data
GoDaddy said email addresses of up to 1.2 million active and inactive Managed WordPress customers had been exposed through unauthorized third-party access. The company said it discovered the incident on November 17 and began an investigation with an IT forensics firm, while contacting law enforcement.

GoDaddy discloses unauthorized access affecting managed WordPress accounts
GoDaddy disclosed that unauthorized access to its managed WordPress hosting environment exposed account data for as many as 1.2 million customers. It said the discovery was made on November 17, 2021, and that the attacker accessed customer numbers and email addresses, as well as certain credentials and SSL private keys. GoDaddy said it began an investigation, reset exposed sFTP and database credentials, and was issuing and installing new certificates for affected customers.
