Goetzfried

Goetzfried AG was a German IT and engineering services company headquartered in Wiesbaden. It was founded in 1987 by Thomas Götzfried as Softwareservice Goetzfried e.K. in Frankfurt and was converted into a stock corporation (Aktiengesellschaft) on 1 July 2000. Over the following years the company built up branch offices in Wiesbaden, Stuttgart, Cologne and Zurich, later adding Hamburg and Berlin. The company's service spectrum covered the recruitment, provision and management of IT experts and engineers as well as the conception and realisation of IT and engineering projects. In August 2006 Goetzfried AG became a 100-percent subsidiary of Allgeier SE for a payment in the double-digit millions. Within the Allgeier group it was merged with sister companies: with IT service provider Next GmbH on 1 January 2012 and with IT service provider TOPjects GmbH on 1 January 2015. In April 2015 it announced the acquisition of a majority stake in the personnel consultancy SearchConsult GmbH, and in August 2015 it spun off its IT and engineering services with employed experts into the subsidiary Goetzfried Professionals GmbH, founded in 2014. Leadership changed several times in the later years. In early January 2016 the company announced the return of founder Thomas Götzfried — long-time board member and supervisory board chairman — to the management board, where he formed the new leadership duo together with Andreas Nader. On 1 January 2017 Bernd Sauer, previously Vice President Sales, was appointed to the management board, succeeding Thomas Götzfried, who moved to the board of the parent company Allgeier Experts SE at the end of the year. From October 2010 Goetzfried was the subject of public discussion about the then procurement practice of the Hessische Zentrale für Datenverarbeitung; the allegations, raised mainly by the Bündnis 90/Die Grünen parliamentary group in the Hessian state parliament, proved to be unfounded. On 21 January 2019 Goetzfried AG was absorbed into Allgeier Experts SE as Allgeier Experts Go GmbH, ending its existence as an independent brand. The Allgeier group's public-sector IT activities were later bundled under the Allgeier Public brand, which offers full-service IT services exclusively for the public sector from consulting through implementation to operation.

On 21 January 2019 Goetzfried AG was absorbed into Allgeier Experts SE as Allgeier Experts Go GmbH, ending its existence as an independent company and brand. The Allgeier group subsequently bundled its public-sector IT competencies under the Allgeier Public brand, which positions itself as the digitalisation partner of the public sector in Germany and offers full-service IT services exclusively for the public sector — from consulting through implementation to operation — delivered originally in Germany.
