Gokada

Gokada is a technology startup and NIPOST-licensed logistics company in Nigeria. Founded by the late Fahim Saleh, it began in 2018 as a bike-hailing company with about 8 pilots, then pivoted into logistics in March 2020 after the Lagos state government banned bikes ("Okada") from major roads and highways in January 2020. The company operates a "superapp" on-demand multi-service platform offering instant parcel delivery, food delivery, ride-hailing, and more. It is headquartered in Lagos and is expanding to other cities, with a fleet of over 1200 riders and more than a million deliveries completed in less than a year after its pivot.

Gokada is the brainchild of its late founder, Fahim Saleh, with the vision to help Lagosians move around faster and avoid traffic. It initially started in January 2018 with about 8 pilots as a bike-hailing company. In January 2020, the Lagos state government banned bikes ("Okada") from operating on major roads and highways in the state. After the ban, Gokada promptly pivoted into logistics in March 2020, right in time for the pandemic. Since then, it has completed more than a million deliveries in less than a year, with a fleet of over 1200 riders, and has branched out to other ventures. The company is headquartered in Lagos and is in the process of expanding to other cities.
