Goldschmaus Gruppe

Goldschmaus Gruppe is a German meat company whose main site is in Garrel, where it operates a processing centre, a freezer warehouse and a conveyor tunnel for producing meat products. Its history began in 1988, when around three dozen farmers from the Bösel area near Oldenburg founded an Erzeugergemeinschaft; the group later established Böseler Qualitätsfleisch GmbH and Böseler Goldschmaus GmbH & Co. KG. The group also has activities in Molbergen and Oldenburg, where it focuses on beef production.

According to the group's history page, the principle "Gemeinsam sind wir stärker" led almost three dozen farmers from the Bösel region near Oldenburg to join together in 1988 and found an Erzeugergemeinschaft, at that time producing around 35,000 pigs per half-year. This developed into a medium-sized company that established itself in the market. In 1989, Böseler Qualitätsfleisch GmbH and Böseler Goldschmaus GmbH & Co. KG were founded. In 1993/1994, the Fleischzentrum was taken over and purchased, followed in 1996 by the start of a two-year modernisation of the Fleischzentrum and in 2000 by the construction of an in-house sewage treatment plant. In 2002, a CO2 stunning system was built, along with expansion of cutting, crate storage, construction of a freezer house and construction and approval of the freezer warehouse; in 2006, a new meat plant and cooling tunnel were built. In 2007, a new ham cutting facility was built and the freezer was expanded; in 2010, the freezer was expanded again. In 2012, the brand "Die Marke der Bauern von Goldschmaus" was launched; in 2013, a conveyor bridge was built and cutting, packaging and freezer capacities were expanded. In 2016, all contract workers were taken on as direct employees; in 2017, a new gut processing facility was built; and in 2019, the Oldenburg cattle slaughterhouse was taken over and converted. Today, according to the history page, the Goldschmaus Gruppe slaughters and processes around 35,000 pigs per week, and at its main site in Garrel it has a processing centre, a freezer warehouse and a conveyor tunnel for producing high-quality meat products.
