History
Gore Mutual's own history page states that in 1839 the Gore District Mutual Fire Insurance Company was created in Upper Canada. It records that in 1852 the Grand Trunk Railway created an opportunity to expand across Ontario, and that in 1867 it led a charge to reform the Mutual Insurance Act. In 2019 its Next Horizon strategy was launched, signalling an ambition to be a purpose-driven, digitally led national insurer. In 2021 it deployed a new operating model and leading technology platform for Personal Lines.
