GoSun

GoSun is an American company that develops portable solar-powered appliances. It describes itself as a team of designers, engineers, and change-makers serving the world with clean energy solutions, founded in a small suburban garage in Cincinnati, Ohio, by Founder & CEO Patrick Sherwin. Its product range includes solar ovens, solar cooling, water purification, solar micro-grids, an EV charger, and an electric compact tractor.

GoSun was founded in a small suburban garage in Cincinnati, Ohio, by Patrick Sherwin, who serves as Founder & CEO. While volunteering with non-profits in Haiti and Latin America, Patrick experienced first-hand the vulnerability of energy poverty; these efforts, including many failures to introduce typical solar ovens, led to the realization that his solar hot dog cooker invention could be something more, serving a great need in emerging markets. Since its inception, GoSun has worked with dozens of nonprofit organizations to provide discounted solar cookers and other solar products to those that need them most, and has provided funding to support the efforts of the California Fire Foundation, The Houston Food Bank, Global Giving, and Operation BBQ Relief, as well as donations to The American Red Cross and World Central Kitchen to assist with Hurricane Florence relief efforts and to the California Community Wildfire Relief Fund.

Portable, reliable solar products for a cleaner, more independent lifestyle.
