Grade Potential

Grade Potential is a tutoring service that connects students with local, professional tutors for in-person, one-on-one sessions. It offers tutoring for middle school, high school, and college students in subjects like history, and emphasizes personalized matching and background-checked tutors.

Grade Potential was founded in 2002 by David Serwitz, who launched Make The Grade, LLC while attending Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, CA. The company expanded to Seattle in 2010, and by 2017 had opened its 20th office in Washington, D.C. In 2021, it launched an online platform in response to the pandemic.
