GST (海湾安全技术有限公司) is one of China's principal providers of fire detection, alarm and integrated fire safety solutions. Founded in Qinhuangdao, Hebei Province in 1993, the company introduced its first bus-based fire alarm product to the Chinese market in the same year, helping to lay an important foundation for the development of domestic fire alarm technology. Over more than three decades, GST has grown into a full-spectrum fire safety brand offering one-stop solutions that cover fire warning, intelligent evacuation and smart fire protection. GST's product portfolio spans fire automatic alarm and linkage control systems, combustible gas detection and alarm systems, aspirated smoke detection systems, electrical fire monitoring systems, fire emergency lighting and evacuation indication systems, fire door monitoring systems, fire equipment power monitoring systems, image-based fire detection systems, and smart fire IoT systems. Its solutions are applied across real estate, industrial and infrastructure scenarios, including semiconductor and electronics plants, rail transit, energy storage, data centers and wineries. The company holds CCC, UL and LPCB certifications and serves customers in more than 80 countries and regions. Headquartered at 80 Changjiang East Road, Qinhuangdao Development Zone, Hebei, GST operates a smart factory in Qinhuangdao equipped with advanced production lines and integrated automation, AI and big data technologies for predictive maintenance and data-driven manufacturing. It supports its customers through a digital service platform, nearly 100 service outlets across China and more than 400 senior technical engineers. GST has been part of several major international industrial groups. It listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in June 2005, when United Technologies Corporation (UTC) invested and became its second-largest shareholder. It joined UTC in 2009, was spun off into Carrier in 2020, and in 2024 joined Kidde Global Solutions (KGS), opening a new chapter of global development. The brand has received numerous honors, including recognition as a top smart fire protection brand and a leading fire alarm brand in China.

GST was founded in Qinhuangdao, Hebei Province, in 1993. In the same year, the company launched its first bus-based fire alarm product in the Chinese market, an important step for the development of domestic fire alarm technology. In 2000, GST established offices in multiple Chinese cities and began nationwide direct sales, while also registering a company in Dubai to start its international business. In 2002, it obtained LPCB ISO9001 certification and released its first European-standard detector. In 2004, it released its first American-standard detector, aligning its product standards with international norms. In 2005, GST successfully listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in June, and United Technologies Corporation (UTC) injected capital to become its second-largest shareholder; the company also released its first European-standard alarm control panel, securing an important position in Asia's fire alarm industry. In 2006, the Shenyang Fire Research Institute Qinhuangdao Laboratory was established at GST, deepening industry-academia-research integration. In 2007, the GST trademark completed registration in markets such as the Philippines and Indonesia, building a trademark protection system across more than 90 countries and regions. In 2009, GST formally joined United Technologies Corporation (UTC), and its annual detector production exceeded 10 million units. In 2014, annual detector production surpassed 20 million units, keeping its production capacity among the top in Asia. In 2015, China's first UL witness testing laboratory was established at the GST factory. In 2020, GST was spun off from UTC and became a member of Carrier; 14 categories of products received the "International Standard Product Mark" certificate, its quality clinic management model was selected among the first 10 "Hebei Province Enterprise Characteristic Quality Management Models," and the Hebei local standard "Quality Clinic Management Specification," led by GST, was released. In 2021, GST was selected as one of the 2021 Top 100 Innovative Enterprises in Strategic Emerging Industries of Hebei Province. In 2023, GST celebrated its 30th anniversary, marking three decades of deep cultivation in the fire alarm field. In 2024, GST formally joined Kidde Global Solutions (KGS), opening a new chapter of global development.
