H&D – An HCL Technologies Company was the brand under which Hönigsberg & Düvel Datentechnik GmbH and its affiliated companies operated after being acquired by HCL Technologies. The business was founded in 1996 in Wolfsburg, Germany, by Bernhard and Anita Hönigsberg together with Oliver Düvel as Hönigsberg & Düvel Datentechnik GbR, initially offering training in Microsoft software. H & D International GmbH was founded in spring 2008 and handled the establishment of foreign companies. As a subsidiary of H&D, Hönigsberg & Düvel Datentechnik Czech s.r.o. was founded in 2007; H & D Czech s.r.o. mainly provided PC and server support, KPDM training, database support and software development within the Czech Republic. In 2008 the first international subsidiary, Hönigsberg & Düvel Datentechnik Czech s.r.o., was established in Mladá Boleslav, where mainly development services were performed. H&D was a partner of various software manufacturers and technology companies but advised independently of manufacturers. It mainly delivered IT services in the areas of managed services (servers, clients and applications), software development, IT infrastructure and SAP developments. In addition there were purely engineering services, IT and non-IT training, and management services for personnel and organizational support of projects. Service desk projects looked after up to 60,000 clients. The offering ranged from consulting through server, infrastructure and workplace management to further IT services and its own customer-specific product developments. The company worked in the automotive/manufacturing industry, banking/insurance, public administration, healthcare, energy utilities and telecommunications. Its main target group was large mid-sized companies and major enterprises. In June 2018 it was announced that the IT services company HCL Technologies would take over the H & D International Group. Since October 2018 the company has been part of the HCL Technologies group. In April 2021 all companies associated with Hönigsberg & Düvel Datentechnik were merged and transferred into HCL Technologies Germany GmbH, completing the integration of H&D into HCL Technologies' German operations.
