Overview

Haltec Hallensysteme GmbH is a German company based in Hemer that develops, plans and builds system-based halls, lightweight halls, steel halls and large tents for industrial and commercial use. According to its own positioning, the company has more than 25 years of experience in the development and construction of system halls and stands for ordered processes, safe and reliable hall systems, structured information and personal advice — summarised under the claim "Systematisierung als Lösung – Made in Germany". Its product range is organised into two main lines: HALTEC BASIC lightweight halls, which are aluminium lightweight halls in system construction that can be extended and dismantled easily and are especially suited to temporary use such as storage; and HALTEC SELECT steel halls, which are individually planned and produced to order for demanding, permanent use as commercial, industrial, workshop or production halls. A 3D hall configurator allows customers to visualise a planned building and request a quote directly. The company was founded in 1996 in Halver, Märkischer Kreis, and moved to Hemer two years later, where its headquarters remain. A second production site was opened in Gransee in 1999, and the production facilities were expanded several times in the following years. From 2003 the company also turned to foreign markets and opened its own branches in several European countries. By the middle of 2011 Haltec operated, alongside the Hemer and Gransee sites, sales branches in Berlin, Dresden, Frankfurt am Main, Hamburg, Hannover, Karlsruhe, Kassel, Köln, München, Nürnberg and Stuttgart, plus a technical office in Schipkau. Annual turnover in 2008 was around 70 million euros with roughly 175 employees. Haltec manufactures system halls, lightweight halls and round-roof halls. System halls are individually planned with spans varying between five and 50 metres and are used by industrial companies as storage or production space; the company also built the ice rink for the television show "Stars auf Eis" at Europa-Park. Lightweight halls are likewise used mainly for storage and can be erected within one to three days. The range also includes party and festival tents in various sizes, pagoda tents and shelters. Lighting for the halls and tents is produced by the Dutch subsidiary HKH Lighting. In 2008 and 2009 the company received awards for its human-resources work, including the title of one of the "100 best employers in Germany" and the "Top-Job" seal, and in 2009 its managing directors were named "Entrepreneur of the Year" in the industry category.

History

Haltec Hallensysteme GmbH was founded in 1996 in Halver, Märkischer Kreis, with the purpose of manufacturing system halls and tents. Two years later, in 1998, the company moved to Hemer, where its headquarters are still located today. In 1999 it began building a decentralised corporate structure by opening a production site in Gransee. Over the following two years the production facility was expanded several times, and in 2005 a new warehouse hall was built in Hemer. At the same time the product range was extended, for example with party tents and special system halls. From 2003 the company also oriented itself towards foreign markets and opened its own branches in several European countries. In 2008 and 2009 the business was recognised for its good human-resources work: after receiving the title of one of the "100 best employers in Germany", Haltec also obtained the "Top-Job" seal. In 2009 the managing directors were named "Entrepreneur of the Year" in the industry category. By mid-2011, alongside the Hemer and Gransee sites, the company maintained sales branches in Berlin, Dresden, Frankfurt am Main, Hamburg, Hannover, Karlsruhe, Kassel, Köln, München, Nürnberg and Stuttgart, and a technical office in Schipkau. Annual turnover in 2008 was around 70 million euros, with roughly 175 employees. Haltec manufactures system halls, lightweight halls and round-roof halls. System halls are individually planned and have spans varying between five and 50 metres; they are used by industrial companies as storage or production space. The company also constructed and built the ice rink for the television show "Stars auf Eis" at Europa-Park. Lightweight halls are likewise used mainly for storage and can be erected within one to three days. Round-roof halls are also part of the company's range. In addition, Haltec offers party and festival tents in various sizes, as well as pagoda tents and shelters. Lighting for the halls and tents is produced by the Dutch subsidiary HKH Lighting.
