Hands Productions

Hands Productions is a German independent record label specializing in industrial techno and related electronic music. Founded in the early 1990s and based in Germany, the label has built a reputation for its carefully curated roster and its highly distinctive physical releases. Rather than using standard plastic jewel cases, Hands Productions packages its CDs in custom-made cardboard and paper sleeves, often with minimalist, allusive artwork. Much of this design work is created by Nicola Bork, partner of label director Udo Wiessmann, who is also a member of the industrial act Winterkälte. The label's editions are frequently limited and are sought after by collectors. Hands Productions operates its own mail-order service through its official website, selling its releases and related merchandise directly to an international audience. The label remains active and continues to release music from artists in the industrial, power electronics, and rhythmic noise scenes.
