Hardcore Epoxy Flooring

Hardcore Epoxy Flooring is an owner-operated epoxy flooring and basement waterproofing contractor based in Brownstown Township, Michigan, serving Metro Detroit, Wayne County, and the Downriver area. The business is led by owner and lead installer Spirro Grias, who has been coating floors across Metro Detroit for over 20 years. The company positions itself against franchise operations by emphasizing that the owner personally handles the estimate, diamond grinding, coating, and final walkthrough rather than handing work off to rotating crews or subcontractors. The company's core service is commercial-grade epoxy flooring for garages, basements, kitchens, warehouses, auto shops, and retail spaces. Its installation method centers on commercial diamond grinding rather than acid etching, followed by crack filling and a multi-coat system: primer, pigmented base coat, decorative broadcast (flake, metallic, or solid color), and a UV-stable polyaspartic clear topcoat. It also offers specialty options such as glow-in-the-dark epoxy floors with phosphorescent chips embedded in commercial-grade epoxy. Beyond coatings, Hardcore Epoxy Flooring provides basement waterproofing (moisture inspection, vapor barrier primers, interior drainage, and crack repair) and concrete crack repair using epoxy and polyurethane injection systems for foundations, basement walls, and slabs. The company is also an authorized RaceDeck installer, offering modular interlocking garage tiles as an alternative when epoxy will not bond to cracked or uneven concrete; it states it has served as an authorized RaceDeck installer since 1999 and installed over 35,000 sq ft of modular tiles across Wayne County. The brand markets itself as "Detroit's #1 Epoxy Floor Installer" and cites over 20 years in business, 1,000+ floors completed, 1,100+ basements waterproofed, and a 4.9 average rating. It operates primarily in the Michigan market, where freeze-thaw cycles are a central selling point for both its crack repair and its RaceDeck tile offering.

Hardcore Epoxy Flooring is an epoxy flooring and basement waterproofing contractor based in Brownstown Township, Michigan, serving Metro Detroit, Wayne County, and the Downriver area. According to the company, owner Spirro Grias began coating floors across Metro Detroit in the early 2000s, developing a passion for concrete coatings that became a full-time career. The business has since grown into an owner-operated contracting brand that reports over 20 years in business, more than 1,000 floors completed, and more than 1,100 basements waterproofed. A defining element of the company's history is its long relationship with RaceDeck, a manufacturer of modular interlocking garage floor tiles. Hardcore Epoxy Flooring states it has been an authorized RaceDeck installer since 1999 and has installed over 35,000 sq ft of modular interlocking garage tiles across Wayne County. This offering complements its epoxy coating work by providing an alternative for slabs that are too cracked or uneven for a bonded coating. Over time the company expanded from epoxy floor coatings into adjacent services, including basement waterproofing (moisture inspection, vapor barrier primers, interior drainage, and crack repair) and concrete crack repair using professional epoxy and polyurethane injection systems for foundations, basement walls, and slabs. It also introduced specialty products such as glow-in-the-dark epoxy floors with phosphorescent chips embedded in commercial-grade epoxy. The company's operating philosophy centers on surface preparation. It states that every floor receives commercial diamond grinding rather than acid etching, followed by crack filling and a multi-coat system of primer, pigmented base coat, decorative broadcast, and a UV-stable polyaspartic clear topcoat. Hardcore Epoxy Flooring markets itself as "Detroit's #1 Epoxy Floor Installer" and emphasizes that the owner personally oversees every job rather than delegating to franchise crews or subcontractors.
