Hawarden Castle Estate

Hawarden Estate is described as one of Britain's most creative and beautiful private estates, located on the edge of North Wales beside Chester. It is home to a 13th-century fortification with iron-age origins and an 18th-century castle once home to four-time Prime Minister William Gladstone. Over the past twenty years, two generations of the Gladstone family have restored and reinvigorated the estate through renovation of historic buildings, a giant walled garden, new businesses, restoration of wild meadows and woodland, and conversion of farmland to organic. The estate encompasses a multi-award-winning Farm Shop and restaurant, holiday homes, The Glynne Arms pub (AA Welsh Pub of the Year 2020), a campsite, The Walled Garden School, Summer Camp, corporate hire, and wedding venues.
