HB Technologies (HBT) is an Algerian company specializing in digital security, smart-card production and personalization, and related IT and electronic solutions. Founded in March 2004 by Abdelhamid Benyoucef, who remains president and CEO, the company is headquartered in the Rouiba industrial zone of Algiers. It operates production and personalization facilities that were commissioned in late 2006, and it has an annual production capacity of 100 million cards. The company is certified ISO 9001:2015, Mastercard, Visa, and GSMA-SAS, and it uses its proprietary PersoLogic software for secure chip personalization. On 4 July 2015, Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal visited the company's smart-card manufacturing unit. The company has since expanded its offerings to include PKI infrastructure, electronic signature, U2F authentication, and various card types, and it exports SIM cards to Ireland, the United Kingdom, Mali, and South Africa, and fuel cards to Tunisia and seven other African countries.
