Starting with a small volunteer crew, it has grown from serving clients in its immediate geographic area to distributing food to clients who live throughout the Houston metroplex. The pantry is volunteer-run and relies on assistance from more than 40 community members every week to prep, package and distribute food. Since its inception, it has relied on the support and commitment of its community to sustain its operation, and its work has continued without disruption through hurricanes, floods, freezing weather and even a global pandemic.
