Overview

Herrhammer GmbH Spezialmaschinen is a family business in its third generation, active worldwide in the candle machine sector. The company supplies fully automated production lines for mass candle production as well as cost-effective individual machines for smaller quantities. It covers the entire process chain from raw material preparation to packaging of end products. In 2005, it took over the competitor Kürschner from Kaldenkirchen and merged the sales departments. The company is known for its engineering expertise and custom solutions.

History

Alfred Herrhammer, originally a turbine designer at Junkers in Dessau, returned to Winterhausen in 1948. In 1950, he received an order from Wachs Schenk in Würzburg to repair a candle-making machine damaged by fire. Instead of repairing, he developed a new semi-automatic machine for candle head milling. The first Herrhammer candle machine was delivered on October 10, 1950. Over time, the company developed a broad range of candle-making machines, significantly driven by his son Peter Herrhammer after he joined in 1972. Today, the family business is in its third generation and claims to be the market leader in automation and the world's largest provider of candle-making machines.
