HessenFilm und Medien

HessenFilm und Medien supports film and media creators from Hessen and those who want to shoot and produce in Hessen, assisting them in planning and implementing their projects. It funds both the artistic and commercial quality of film and series productions, from treatment through production to exploitation, and supports efficient and flexible structures at the film location with a clear focus on diversity and sustainability. Its stated goal is to create optimal conditions for the Hessen creative economy and film culture, with youth development and documentary film funding among its priorities. Beyond financial support, it creates networking platforms and regularly offers workshops for the professionalization of the industry. Its Film Commission Hessen connects with local scouts and contacts in the regions and supports with information on shooting permits, contractual matters and other production services, including a free CO2 calculator for the climate balance of a film project; it is a member of the German Film Commissions association and the European Film Commissions Network.
