High Seat Limited

High Seat Limited, trading as HSL Chairs, is a UK furniture company described as a family business that has been helping people feel good in their furniture for over 50 years. Founded in 1968 by first-generation owners Jeffrey and Patricia Burrows with the aim to 'produce comfortable, quality furniture', it drew on joinery and textile skills in Dewsbury, a town known for fine furniture making. For 40 years HSL operated as a mail-order business with a factory-showroom in Dewsbury; in 1995 the founders opened their first retail store in Letchworth. Now owned by second-generation William and Debra Burrows, HSL has evolved into a wellbeing furniture brand with an Exclusive Chair Fitting service and stores nationwide. Its range covers riser recliners, recliner chairs, armchairs, sofas and adjustable beds, and it also retails third-party brands such as Hypnos, Stressless, Himolla, Giuseppe Nicoletti and an ercol collaboration.
