In April 2014, Hirepool merged with Hirequip; Brian Stephen was appointed as Chief Executive of Hirepool following that merger, and in 2017 he joined the Hirepool board as Managing Director. Antony Smit was appointed Chief Operating Officer in December 2018, an internal promotion after 20 years with Hirepool, including the last 10 years as Southern Regional Manager. Cameron Mathewson joined Hirepool in mid-2025 as Chief Financial Officer.
