Overview

Holzbau Lengauer-Stockner GmbH is a family-owned timber construction (Holzbau) company based in Schwoich in the Kufstein district of Tyrol, Austria. Founded in 1982 by Peter Lengauer-Stockner as a one-man carpentry business, it has grown into a firm with more than 40 employees and over four decades of experience in building with wood. The company operates from its site at Egerbach 56 in Schwoich and serves private, commercial and agricultural clients across the Tyrol region. The firm's service portfolio covers the full range of timber construction: wooden houses, roof structures, extensions and storey additions, commercial buildings such as halls, agricultural buildings, renovation of old buildings and other carpentry work. It emphasises a complete project approach, from initial consultation and detailed planning through to professional execution, and continues to support clients after project completion. Design and planning are handled in-house, with the company positioning itself as a competent partner for customised timber construction solutions. Holzbau Lengauer-Stockner is a family business. Peter Lengauer-Stockner, a certified master carpenter (Zimmermeister), founded the company on 1 July 1982 in a rented hall, supported by his wife Marianne. In 1986 the company purchased its current premises at Egerbach 56, and in 1999 it acquired an additional operational site. In 2004 the business was converted into a GmbH (limited liability company), and since then the founder's sons Martin and Gerhard Lengauer-Stockner have run the company. Martin Lengauer-Stockner, who passed his master carpenter examination in Innsbruck in 1998, has been managing director since 2004; Gerhard Lengauer-Stockner works in the business as a foreman (Zimmererpolier) responsible for production. The company describes its employees as its most valuable resource and offers apprenticeships and career opportunities. The company's stated values are quality, reliability, adherence to deadlines and a balanced price-performance ratio. It highlights the sustainable, renewable nature of wood as a building material and the character it gives to a house. Holzbau Lengauer-Stockner has received recognition from clients, partners and public institutions for its work. It remains a private, family-owned enterprise headquartered in Schwoich, Tyrol.

History

The connection to wood runs in the Lengauer-Stockner family. Both grandfather Heinrich Lengauer-Stockner (father of founder Peter Lengauer-Stockner) and father Josef Zott (of Marianne Lengauer-Stockner) worked in the carpentry trade. Peter Lengauer-Stockner completed a carpentry apprenticeship, gained practical experience as a foreman and department head, and passed his master carpenter examination in Innsbruck in February 1982. On 1 July 1982, Peter Lengauer-Stockner fulfilled his professional dream by becoming self-employed in a rented hall. With the active support of his wife Marianne, the originally one-man operation developed rapidly, leading to the employment of staff and the purchase of the company premises at Egerbach 56 in 1986. A further expansion took place in 1999 with the purchase of an additional operational site. In 2004 the business was converted into a GmbH (limited liability company). Since then the founder's sons Martin and Gerhard Lengauer-Stockner have taken over the business. Martin Lengauer-Stockner, who also passed the master carpenter examination in Innsbruck in 1998, has been responsible as managing director since 2004. Gerhard Lengauer-Stockner is also active in the company and is responsible for production as a foreman (Zimmererpolier). In 2017 the company continued its innovation efforts on the site acquired in 1999. After more than four decades, the company now has over 40 loyal employees. As a family business, it values its roots and stability for the future. The company has received recognition from clients, partners and public institutions. It remains headquartered in Schwoich, Tyrol, and continues to serve the region with a comprehensive range of timber construction services.
