Hoover Iron

The available official Hoover material describes a brand focused on home-cleaning products, including carpet cleaners, spot cleaners, vacuum cleaners, hard-floor cleaners, batteries, and cleaning solutions. It does not identify an iron or a product line called “Hoover Iron.” The evidence therefore is insufficient to establish the exact commercial entity requested. Further identification is needed before attributing Hoover’s history, ownership, or products to “Hoover Iron.”

The supplied official history says the Hoover story began in 1907, when inventor Murray Spangler developed a “suction sweeper” to address dust that aggravated his asthma while he worked as a night janitor. In 1908, leather-goods shop owner W. H. “Boss” Hoover bought Spangler’s patent and retained him as a partner. Hoover’s employees began assembling the machines in a corner of the leather-goods shop. The company’s early sales approach included offering prospective customers a 10-day trial and working with local stores, helping establish a dealer network. This history is evidence about the Hoover cleaning brand described by the official site; it does not establish the history of a separate commercial entity called “Hoover Iron.”
