Housing Fair Finland

Housing Fair Finland (Finnish: Asuntomessut) is a recurring Finnish housing exhibition that presents newly built residential areas, model homes, and housing trends to the public. Each edition is staged in a different Finnish municipality, where a new neighbourhood is constructed or completed for the event. The fair functions as a showcase for architecture, construction, interior design, and sustainable living, and it draws visitors who tour the finished homes and apartments. The 2026 edition was held in Lempäälä, in the Saika district, from 10 July to 9 August 2026. The area was built as a modern, compact, urban-style residential neighbourhood centred on contemporary, sustainable living. Climate wisdom (ilmastoviisaus) was the guiding theme for both construction and everyday life. The location offered small-town ease, nearby services, and smooth connections to Tampere and the Helsinki metropolitan area. The nearby Ideapark commercial complex served as the main cooperation partner of the Lempäälä event. The Lempäälä fair featured 34 sites, including one- and two-storey detached houses, a townhouse, two semi-detached houses, two terraced houses, four apartments in a rental apartment building, holiday living units, and Saikantalo, a building housing a daycare centre and a primary school. A virtual version of the fair was opened to all visitors, requiring free registration. The next edition is scheduled for 16 July to 15 August in Pickala Rock Resort. The event also extends into media: new special episodes of "Huvila & Huussi Asuntomessuilla" were set to begin on Nelonen and Ruutu on 1 September 2026, hosted by Marja Hintikka with interior architect Mikko Vesanen. Housing Fair Finland is documented as a Finnish organization in Wikidata.

Housing Fair Finland (Asuntomessut) is a Finnish institution that stages an annual national housing exhibition in a selected municipality. While the exact founding year is not provided in the available evidence, the event has become a recurring fixture in Finnish housing and construction culture, with each edition leaving behind a new residential neighbourhood. The fair's model is consistent: a host municipality prepares an area with new homes, and the public is invited to tour the completed houses, apartments, and shared buildings. The event highlights current trends in architecture, construction technology, interior design, and sustainable living. Over the years it has served as a platform for builders, designers, and municipalities to present their work to a broad audience. In 2026 the fair was held in Lempäälä, in the Saika district, from 10 July to 9 August. The Saika area was built as a modern, compact, urban-style residential neighbourhood centred on contemporary, sustainable living. Climate wisdom was the guiding theme for construction and living.
