Hozelock

Hozelock is a garden equipment brand founded in 1959 on an airfield in the village of Haddenham. Its first product was described as the world's first plastic hose connector, the Hoze-Lock. Today its head office is in Birmingham (UK), and it describes itself as a global garden equipment manufacturer with over 75% of products made in Britain and the remainder built in overseas factories in France, Malaysia, Taiwan and China. Hozelock is part of the Hozelock Group, which supplies products under two brands: Hozelock, its retail gardening brand, and Tricoflex, its B2B industrial hose brand. Its product range covers watering, spraying, plant protection and pond solutions, along with spare parts.

Hozelock was founded on an airfield in 1959, in the village of Haddenham. Its first product was the world's first plastic hose connector, the Hoze-Lock. In 1965, following growth of its sprinkler and fitting range, Hozelock acquired the tools and worldwide rights for Green Queen all metal oscillators from America. In the mid-1970s, range expansion, particularly in sprinklers and hose end units, resulted in excellent sales growth helped by several exceptional seasons. In 1983, Hozelock purchased Associated Sprayers PLC, with well-known brand names such as Killaspray and Polyspray, to expand the product range logically into sprayers; the company name changed to Hozelock – ASL. In 1987, Hozelock won the Queen's Award for Export Achievement. In 1988, Hozelock purchased hose manufacturer Salford Plastics. In 1989, Hozelock purchased rotary dryer manufacturer John Brian. In 1992, Hozelock's Micro Irrigation System won the 'New Product of the Year' award, a new 28,000 sq. ft. hi-tech factory opened in Aylesbury specialising in Injection Moulding, and Hozelock was accredited BS5750. Today, its head office is in Birmingham (UK), and it is part of the Hozelock Group, which supplies products under two brands: Hozelock, its retail gardening brand, and Tricoflex, its B2B industrial hose brand.
