HZPC Holland

HZPC is a company founded in 1898 and rooted in The Netherlands. It has grown to become global market leader in seed potato trading, innovative breeding and concept development. The company offers innovative potato varieties optimized for local growing conditions, with around 400 employees across 16 countries and exports to over 90 countries. HZPC is part of Royal HZPC Group B.V., which is owned by the 'Vereniging HZPC' (HZPC Association) holding 100 percent of the shares.

HZPC was founded in 1898 and rooted in The Netherlands. In 1898, Hettema & Sons was founded in Bitgum (Fr), the Netherlands. In 1919, ZPC was founded in Leeuwarden (Fr), the Netherlands. In 1937, ZPC started its breeding program, and in 1952, Hettema started its breeding program. In 1999, ZPC and Hettema merged into HZPC, with a new head office in Joure. In 2019, HZPC launched its new logo and branding with the tagline 'Keeps you growing'.
