İZFAŞ

İZFAŞ (İzmir Fuarcılık Hizmetleri Kültür ve Sanat İşleri Tic. A.Ş.) is a Turkish public fair-organizing company established on 7 February 1990 under the leadership of İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, with the partnership of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey, the Aegean Region Chamber of Industry, the Aegean Exporters' Associations, the İzmir Chamber of Commerce, and the İzmir Commodity Exchange. It organizes the İzmir International Fair at Kültürpark and specialized fairs such as Marble İzmir and IF Wedding Fashion İzmir at Fuarizmir, and in 2021 launched the Digital İzmir Fair virtual fair platform.

İZFAŞ was established on 7 February 1990 as İzmir Fuarcılık Hizmetleri Kültür ve Sanat İşleri Tic. A.Ş. under the leadership of İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, with the partnership of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey, the Aegean Region Chamber of Industry, the Aegean Exporters' Associations, the İzmir Chamber of Commerce, and the İzmir Commodity Exchange. The company's origins trace to the İzmir International Fair, whose first steps were the 'Yerli Malları Sergisi' held alongside the 1st İzmir Economic Congress on 17 February 1923; the fair was later held under names including İzmir 9 Eylül Sergisi (1927, 1928), 9 Eylül Panayırı (1933), İzmir Beynelmilel Panayırı (1934), and İzmir Beynelmilel 9 Eylül Panayırı (1935). Kültürpark, founded by Dr. Behçet Uz, opened on 1 September 1936, and the first İzmir International Fair was held there in 1936 as the Arsıulusal İzmir Fair. İZFAŞ continues to organize fairs each year to stimulate national trade and increase international interaction, and in 2021 it launched the 'Türkiye'nin Sanal Fuar Alanı Digital İzmir Fair' virtual fair platform.
