History
IMRA America (Institut Minoru de Recherche Avancé) was founded in 1990 in Ann Arbor, MI and has become a key member of a global set of companies anchored by the All AISIN Group of Japan. Its mission, "World Harmony through the Development and Sharing of Science and Technology," was established by Mr. Minoru Toyoda, honorary advisor to the All AISIN Group. Throughout the early 1990s, IMRA performed fundamental research on ultrafast fiber lasers. The scientific advancement gained from this research ultimately led to the development of IMRA's first commercial product in 1995, the Femtolite. IMRA has continued to expand its research base, and transitioned into product development to serve industrial markets. FCPA (Fiber Chirped Pulse Amplification) lasers were introduced to the market in 2004 and have steadily proven their industrial reliability. Today, the company operates with strong product development and engineering competencies, high-volume manufacturing capability, and rigorous quality control benchmarked to industrial standards.
Products and positioning
The Fiber Laser Company; the oldest and most experienced femtosecond fiber laser company.
Femtolite F/G/H Series
Compact, fiber lasers systems that are an ideal femtosecond source for metrology applications in industrial environments, and a great replacement for the Ti:Sapphire laser in a scientific setting. Wavelength range 805, 810, and 1620 nm; the HX-150 delivers simultaneous dual outputs of 810 and 1620 nm.
FCPA µJewel lasers (DE, DX, DH Series)
Based on patented Fiber Chirped Pulse Amplification technology, the robustly engineered FCPA µJewel product line features the DE, DX, and DH Series, providing both high pulse energy and average power. Suitable for selected material processing, tissue modification, imaging, and non-linear optics.
