Infanterix

Infanterix is a Munich-based childcare and early-education organisation operating multilingual crèches and kindergartens. Its concept emerged from conversations with French, English, Chinese and German parents who expected further stays abroad and wanted to prepare their children for switching languages. The first facility, Infanterix Neuhausen, started in January 2007 with a French-German and an English-German crèche group. The organisation has since grown to around 20 facilities in Munich with approximately 1,200 childcare places for children from 6 months to school entry, and employs around 350 staff. Its focus is the care and early support of small children in French, English and German. Since 2016 Infanterix has been part of Grandir.

The idea of Infanterix – Multilinguale Kindertageseinrichtungen emerged from many conversations with French, English, Chinese and German parents who, because of their work, expected further stays abroad and wanted to prepare their children better for the need to reorient themselves linguistically. In January 2007 the facility Infanterix Neuhausen started with a French-German and an English-German crèche group. Because demand for multilingual crèche places in Munich was very high, the facility expanded by two further groups in October of the same year. In March 2009 another facility, Infanterix Harras, was founded, with two English-German crèche groups. In September 2009 Infanterix Neuhausen opened a French-German kindergarten group with 24 children, and in September 2010 an English-German kindergarten group with 24 children. Since January 2012 Infanterix has had another facility in Schwabing (formerly Das Glückskinderhaus). Over the years Infanterix has developed into a respected care and education institution for children and is now firmly established in Munich. Behind Infanterix as an organisation stand the Tajedini GmbH as a non-profit independent provider as well as Infanterix Bayern GmbH, Infanterix GmbH and Infanterix München GmbH for multilingual childcare facilities. Infanterix cooperates closely with the City of Munich as well as with cities, municipalities and communities. Since 2016 Infanterix has been part of Grandir.
