History
InfraServ Wiesbaden emerged in 1997 through the spin-off of parts of Hoechst AG at the former Kalle-Albert site in Wiesbaden. The site itself has a long history, with the Chemische Fabrik Kalle and Chemische Werke Albert as predecessors. The historic Kalle-Haus building within the industrial park is part of the Route der Industriekultur Rhein-Main (Rhine-Main Industrial Heritage Route). In 1999, following the merger of Hoechst and Rhone-Poulenc to form Aventis, Hoechst AG transferred its shares in InfraServ Wiesbaden to Celanese AG. This established the ownership structure that continues today, with InfraServ Verwaltungs-GmbH in Frankfurt am Main, a subsidiary of Celanese GmbH, acting as the managing general partner. In 2020, the company commissioned a new gas and steam turbine power plant, the largest investment in its history. The plant increased power capacity from 32 to 78 megawatts and, with its 36-meter-high boiler house and two 60-meter-high chimneys, became a regional landmark. As of mid-2025, the industrial park is home to around 75 companies employing nearly 6,000 people. In 2024, the ISW Group reported revenue of 295.3 million euros.
