Instytut Dermatologii sp. z o. o. is an independent company established to act for the development of dermatology. Its mission is to disseminate and develop modern methods of diagnosing and treating skin diseases, building bridges between the latest scientific discoveries in dermatology, allergology and immunology and everyday medical practice. Its activities focus on supporting modern clinical diagnostics by providing practical solutions in dermatology and allergology diagnostics, and on supporting progress in daily clinical practice by providing theoretical and practical knowledge in the diagnostics and treatment of dermatology, immunology and allergology, based on evidence-based medicine methodology and medical technology assessment. The Institute also provides expertise in dermatology, allergology and immunology and develops evidence-based diagnostic and therapeutic procedure guidelines.

The Institute's activity develops mainly in the following areas: supporting modern clinical diagnostics by providing practical solutions in dermatology and allergology diagnostics; and supporting progress in everyday clinical practice by providing theoretical and practical knowledge in the diagnostics and treatment of dermatology, immunology and allergology, achieved based on evidence-based medicine methodology and medical technology assessment. The most important solution provided to Polish doctors by Instytut Dermatologii is patch test materials from the Swedish company Chemotechnique Diagnostics, a world leader in this field. The Institute supports the manufacturer's research and development work, the fruit of which is the Polish Baseline Series (POL-1000), available since 2010 and recently modified in 2019. The diagnostic effectiveness of the Polish Baseline Series was confirmed in nationwide multicenter studies covering more than 1,600 patients.
