Overview
Inter Action Corporation (株式会社インターアクション) is a Japanese technology company founded in June 1992 in Yokohama, Kanagawa. The company began by designing and developing semiconductor inspection equipment and has since grown into a group specializing in optical design, IoT-related businesses, and Industry 4.0 promotion. Its core strength lies in world-class optical design technology, which it applies to inspection and measurement systems for the semiconductor, flat-panel display, and solar cell industries. The company's name combines "Interaction" (interaction between people, between people and technology, and between technologies) and "Action" (the importance of taking initiative), reflecting a desire for a globally recognizable brand. Inter Action listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Mothers market in February 2001, later moved to the Second Section in October 2014 and to the First Section in March 2017. It is now part of the Prime Market. Inter Action's business segments include IoT-related operations, where it leverages advanced optical design for inspection equipment, and Industry 4.0 promotion, supporting manufacturing innovation. The group comprises domestic subsidiaries such as Meiritz Seiki (precision vibration isolation systems), Tokyo Technical (gear testing machines), and Rastec (laser processing equipment), as well as overseas subsidiaries in China and South Korea. The company has also been involved in solar power generation and off-grid solar systems in the Pacific, though it withdrew from the solar power generation business in 2017. With a client-first philosophy, Inter Action continues to develop inspection solutions for leading semiconductor manufacturers, including Sony Semiconductor Manufacturing, and has received recognition such as the Sony Best Partner Award in 2016.
