Overview

The International Institute of Business (IIB; Ukrainian: Міжнародний інститут бізнесу, МІБ) is a private business school based in Kyiv, Ukraine. Founded in 1993 by decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, in cooperation with the Ukrainian Academy of Public Administration under the President and the Central European University Foundation, it has grown into one of the country's most prominent institutions for practical business education. The school specializes in management and business administration programs aimed at business owners, top executives, and mid-level managers. IIB offers a range of MBA programs, including Executive MBA, General MBA, Ukrainian MBA, and MBA in Business Psychology, as well as international professional qualifications such as the CIM Diploma in Professional Marketing and REFA programs in operations management. It also provides corporate training and national qualification programs in areas like property valuation, land appraisal, and arbitration management. The institute has graduated over 10,000 students. A key milestone was in 2007, when IIB became the first Ukrainian business school to receive international accreditation from the Association of MBAs (AMBA) for its MBA programs. It has since maintained and renewed this accreditation. The school is also a member of prominent international associations, including the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD), CEEMAN, and AACSB. In 2011, it was accredited by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine as a higher education institution of the III level of accreditation. IIB's mission is to create value for individuals, companies, and society through practical, comprehensive management education and applied research. Its teaching approach emphasizes real business cases, international standards, and practitioner faculty. The school is headquartered in Kyiv and operates primarily in the Ukrainian market, though its programs often involve international partnerships, such as with the University of New Brunswick (Canada) and MCI Management Center Innsbruck (Austria).
