History
Ir Indo Edicións S.L. was founded in Vigo, Galicia, in 1985 by Bieito Ledo Cabido. From its base in Vigo, the company built a catalogue focused on Galician language and culture, publishing in Galician, Spanish, English and French. Alongside the encyclopaedia, the house produced other reference works such as the three-volume Dicionario biográfico de Galicia, the Dicionario de Galego Ir Indo and the Diccionario dos nomes galegos by Xesús Ferro Ruibal and others.
